In 2015, Unical employees collected 6,596 items of dry goods and donated $25,000 to the Fisher House at The West Los Angeles VA Medical Center. Fisher House provides a “home away from home” so that America’s military families can be together during extended treatment for a serious illness, lengthy physical or occupational therapy.
The 2016 Run for St. Jude’s saw over 60 Unical employees participated in the San Diego Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon to raise funds for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Collectively, over the course of four months, we exceeded our $10,000 goal. Unical matched those funds, leading to over $20,000 that went to cancer research and free medical treatment for children suffering from life threatening diseases and their families.
In 2015, Unical employees selected the Wounded Warrior Project as our annual charity partner. Between employee donations and company matching, a total of $25,000 was contributed to this charity that offers a variety of programs, services and events for wounded veterans of our military.
